Since becoming a Foundation Governor in 2013 I have learnt a great deal about how a school functions and about the vital role played by the Governing Body in the running of a school. I was born in Hendon and moved to Battersea in 2005 where I live with my wife, Amelia, and my seven year old son, Isaac. Isaac has attended Sacred Heart School from the age of 3 and is presently in year three.
It has been a real delight to witness his eagerness to get to school in the mornings and this is testament to the excellent quality of teaching provided by the staff. I studied Architecture at Edinburgh College of Art and qualified as an architect in 2003. I have worked predominantly for practices in London where my involvement has been within the residential, commercial, sports stadia and arts sectors. As a Governor, my area of responsibility is science. I am also chair of the Buildings Committee at Sacred Heart and St Mary’s schools.
